Learning objectives: To understand the physiology and pathophysiology of the female reproductive system. To learn the full spectrum of general obstetrics and gynecology, as well as maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, gynecologic oncology, and urogynecology.

Course content: Anatomy and embryology of the female reproductive track, Congenital malformations, Genetics, Reproductive Endocrinology: normal vs. abnormal menstrual cycle, menopause, osteoporosis, Management of infertility, Medical history-taking, Clinical examination, Diagnostic procedures and tests in Ob-Gyn, Adolescence Gynecology, Infections, Endometriosis-adenomyosis, Gynecologic Oncology, Psyco-sexual disorders, Gynecologic Urology, Breast anatomy and management of breast pathology, Pregnancy: physiology- management – Intra-uterine growth – nutrition – medication, Normal delivery – lactation, pregnancy-associated pathology, puerperium, obstetrical anesthesia and pain management, maternal and neonatal morbidity/mortality, neonatal injuries, antenatal genetic screening, Medicolegal Issues in Ob-Gyn, Informatics in Ob-Gyn.

Teaching: Combination of tutorials, seminars and clinical assessment. Final assessment: 60min written examination (MCQs)
