Objectives of the course: To gain insight in topics of modern Anatomical Sciences which are based on the combination of Morphology with Cell Biology and Physiology by means of the bibliographic analysis of recent papers dealing with the structure and the function of cells and tissues.

Contents of the course: Bibliographic analysis of recent papers dealing with the structure and the function of cells and tissues. Search of published papers and other information from the internet about recent developments in the functional Anatomical Sciences. Production of a concise review paper per student on the basis of the bibliographic analysis.

Mode and outcomes of teaching: The course comprises collaborative analysis of recent papers between the tutors and small groups of students with similar study topics. Based on this collaborative analysis each student should write a concise review paper on a selected topic with bibliographic references and figures. At the end of the course the students should be able to perform a search of bibliographic data, to perform a basic analysis of bibliography, to write a concise review paper with bibliographic references and figures and to gain insight in topics of modern Anatomical Sciences.
