Subject of the course: The study of pathologic processes in human's leading to the disturbance of the physiological balance. The course is intended to introduce the basic knowledge about the origination and etiology of disease entities, along with the occurrence of a clinical symptom or sign.

Content of Course: Pathophysiology of tumors, hematopoietic system, gastrointestinal system, endocrine glands, microbial infections, and skin diseases.

Form and outcomes of teaching: The course is taught in conjunction with clinical training during medical history taking. Training is compulsory for each student in groups of 10-11 people, for at least 8 hours each group, in particular every Tuesday and Thursday 15.00-17.00 pm at the Dept of Internal Medicine (Wards) under the supervision of a Faculty Member of the Department of Internal Medicine.
