Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine
Our Research
Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine
The understanding of the function and properties of stem cells during embryogenesis and adulthood, and the ability to dedifferentiate already differentiated cells into pluripotent stem cells and organoids are pivotal in the field of Regenerative Medicine.
In the department, we study these mechanisms in organisms that retain the ability to regenerate their organs, as well as the properties and behavior of adult stem cells in homeostasis and the pathogenesis of human diseases. Stem cell applications in Regenerative Medicine are being developed, interacting with other cutting-edge research fields, such as biomaterial development, biomechanics, gene therapy, etc.
