Postgraduate Study Programms
Our Faculty of Medicine offers five (5) Postgraduate Study Programs, in different scientific fields, aimming the promotion of the scientific knowledge and the development of skills and practices, which will be utilized by postgraduate students for their professional and social development.
Postgraduate Study Programms
Basic Biomedicine Sciences
The Faculty of Medicine organizes and operates a Postgraduate Program of Studies on “Basic Biomedical Sciences (BBS)” with the participation of seven (7) Laboratories of the Faculty of Medicine of Health Sciences School.
Molecular and Cellular Biology and Biotechnology
Inter-institutional Interdepartmental Program of Postgraduate Studies which organized by [a] the Departments of (i) Medicine and (ii) Biological Applications and Technologies of the School of Health Sciences, and (iii) Chemistry of the School of Sciences of the University of Ioannina, and by [b] the Institute of Biomedical Research (IBR) of the Foundation for Research and Technology.
Adult Nursing Care
The Postgraduate Program “Adult Nursing Care”, with the Department of Nursing as its main department, and the Department of Medicine as its collaborating department, is the evolution of the Postgraduate Program in Nursing-Pathology, founded and first operated in 2003.
Medical Physics - Radiation Physics
Inter-institutional-Interdepartmental Postgraduate Studies Program of (1) School of Medicine, (2) Department of Biology and (3) Department of Physics (National & Kapodistrian University of Athens), (4) Department of Medicine (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), (5) Department of Medicine (University of Thrace), (6) Department of Medicine (University of Ioannina) and (7) Department of Medicine (University of Crete), in collaboration with (8) the Hellenic Atomic Energy Commission (EEAE) and the NCSR “Demokritos”.

The Department of Materials Science Engineering of the School of Engineering of the University of Ioannina (emergency department) in collaboration with the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Ioannina, and the Institute of Biomedical Research of the Foundation for Technology and Research organize and operate an Inter-Institutional Postgraduate Program (IPMP) entitled “Digital Medicine” with two (2) specializations: “Data Analysis in the Health Sector” and “Digital Health Transformation”.
