Five decades after its foundation in 1977, the Faculty of Medicine remains dedicated to provide high quality education and significant research and clinical activity.
The History Museum of Medicine of the University of Ioannina was founded in 1995 and has since tirelessly collected over 20,000 objects (relevant to the history of medicine) exhibited in its 12 different spaces.
The new curriculum prioritizes students’ immediate exposure to clinical knowledge and progressive building of clinical experience; in parallel, it strengthens and directs academic knowledge towards clinical medicine within the core courses.
